Tai Chi for Diabetes (TCD) is specifically designed by Dr. Paul Lam in conjunction with his tai chi associates and a team of medical experts. Based on Sun and Yang style tai chi, TCD is easy to learn, effective and safe. It is designed and proven to improve the management of diabetes. The TCD program will also help to increase flexibility and muscle strength, increase heart/lung activity, align posture, improve balance and integrate the mind and body.

This workshop is designed for instructor qualification to safely and effectively instruct the TCD form to others. An application form, questionnaire, and release will be sent to all who register. It is required that participants have or purchase and study the DVD prior to the class.
All participants will receive a certificate; however, only participants who fulfill the requirements will be qualified to apply for the Board Certification to teach this program.

An abundance of current medical research shows the practice of tai chi has excellent health benefits for people with diabetes and very low risk of injury. Because of this, many doctors are recommending it to their patients. This has increased the demand for classes and instructors. Most facilities do require certification of their instructors.
